Smithfield Collision Repair Centre was opened in 1966, trading under the name Smithfield Crash Repairs and located approximately 300m from the current location. Within a few years, the premises became too small and located to the larger residence found three doors down the street.
In 1972, Smithfield Crash expanded the business and introduces the mechanical & servicing workshop. In 1987, the Napoli Brothers purchased the business and throughout the 1990s more renovations and extensions occurred as the business continued to grow. With the new millennium, came a new name Smithfield Collision & Mechanical Repair Centre.
Smithfield Collision Repair Centre has been one of the largest and well-respected crash repairs in the northern suburbs of Adelaide, winning awards including the Australiasian Paint & Panel Autobody Repairer of the Year.
Smithfield Collision & Mechanical covers over one acre and employing more than 40 staff members. A business is only as good as its leaders. The Napoli brothers, Frank, Larry and Edward, are hands on in the business and have many years of experience in the motor industry. As a family owned business the Napoli brothers are committed to providing quality workmanship with customer service as their number one priority. Frank, Larry and Edward also own 2 other Collision Repair Centres in the northern suburbs of Adelaide: Carisbrook Collision Repair Centre in Salisbury Plains and Pooraka Collision Repair Centre in Pooraka.
LARRY NAPOLI Larry began his career as an apprentice panel beater at Smithfield Crash Repairs and after 10 years he and his brothers purchased the business. Larry is married and is a grandfather (Nonno) to three girls and two boys. During his career he has been on the board of the MTA, Master Collision and AAMI. He thrives on the business and likes to keep up with the latest technology and information within the crash repair industry. Larry has high standards for his own property and business so you can be sure he has the same standards for his customers vehicles. FRANK NAPOLI Frank began his career in Holdens and did his trade as a fitter and turner. Frank came into the business in 1987 and he handles the parts ordering and the quality assurance aspects of the company. Frank has a good knowledge of the makes and models and if he can’t find your part then no-one can. EDWARD NAPOLI Eddie became an apprentice mechanic at a local Elizabeth business and worked there until they bought the business. Smithfield Crash already had an RAA approved mechanical workshop and so it was just the job for Eddie to come in and grow the business serving customers in the local community. Eddie is married with 4 boys and 1 daughter. Currently 4 of his children are working in the business.
